Bedford Splints are made of an elastic bandage/stockinette and are used to physically attach an injured finger to the adjacent finger.  They provide light splinting, support and protection to mild finger injuries, without entirely immobilizing the finger. Suitable for supporting the second or third knuckles (proximal interphalangeal and distal interphalangeal joints).

Size Guide

We stock standard Bedford double finger splints of exactly the same specification and sizing as those used in the NHS:

SIZE WIDTH LENGTH NOTES
Extra Small  5cm  7cm Officially the 'child' size, but in our experience also the better choice for small or slender adult fingers.
Small  6.25cm  7cm The 'adult' sizes. Notice that all adult sizes are the same width: 6.25cm. The difference is in the total length of the finger splint.
 Medium  6.25cm  9cm
Large  6.25cm  10cm

Ideally, chose a size that is slightly shorter than the fingers you wish to splint together (to avoid having the end of the splint overhanging the fingers.) It is possible to cut down a Bedford finger splint, but remember this will leave an unfinished end that may unravel. If you do cut down a Bedford splint, wear it with the unfinished end inwards (i.e. nearest the hand.) Bear in mind that the 'adult' sizes are often too large for women. If you have slender fingers or just want a fit with more grip, try the extra small size instead.

Excellent. Provided by A&E at first but unable to buy more in pharmacy. Found these on line. Do the job perfectly.
